The word is CENSORING, Apple is censoring legitimate and even constructive customer feedback everywhere, like a cult, and I am also a Mac/Logic user

I recently started using Impulse-Response files for the special convolution and characteristics of Amps and Cabinets for simulating very detailed electric guitar sounds with Pianoteq Classical Guitar and the results can be great with the right files and settings. Instead of choosing Microphones, Speaker Cabinets, Room Size and everything else, you just use one file that cannot be fine-tuned, but there are some great collections even for free. I didn't know Chameleon 2, but it looks like a great tool to get right into the sound you're looking for. I would have asked for "I still got the blues" by Gary Moore, just wondering if Chameleon 2 would be able to also grab the convolution effect of cabinets shape, the wood, the specific mic models, resonances, etc..., but I don't think any software can do this without access to the raw sound source. I know there is software for mimicking the guitar sounds of several known songs and even using AI too and providing access to the sound you're looking for, but these are very poor imitations IMO.

Ive got a Mac mini M2 w 16 GB internal memory. I've got processing power issues - the audio playback stops with message. Yes, freezing or converting to audio helps.Removing Chromaglow effects helps. I am having this issue with only 5 audio tracks and one midi track playing a sampler instruments. Setting the Audio/Summing precision to 32 instead of 64 helps a lot. The issue is somehow connected to play back in cycling mode. I use cycling mode 1 or two measures at a time when transcribing, or composing and arranging. Logic plays back fine with cycling is turned off, but when get a hiccup when starting in cycle mode. I notice that now Logic Pro tries to merge material appearing before the loop start or merge from the end into the beginning instead of just playing mack exactly what is in the selected region. There are situations where that could make sense,, but in particular for transcribing, that is highly unwanted. Then I want to hear exactly what is between left and right marker, and only that. The problem gets worse as you change the cycle regions to different new laces.

I have a Studio M1 Max. I have latency issues with a project created in x. Not in new projects. I don’t use the session players. Also I have random system overloads while the 8 core under 50%

You literally just saved my project. I work with logic on last gen iPad Pro and it keeps alerting me to freeze tracks. It shuts the project down completely mid-task. I had no clue what freezing even meant, or how to do it until this video. I thought I was going to lose some quality in my song. This was exactly what I needed to see!

I use a lot of sample instruments and get a lot of latency issues.

A few questions. A) Can you get the bass to follow both chords AND the drums? B) Can you have et following a midi track? Like Superior Drums.

Just to let you know, i was in the same pickle as you 2 weeks ago and many of my friends made the same mistake; like me buying a imac pro in 2019, or others upgrading to a macbook pro with all the wildest specs, at the same time.. BUT - Now i have upgraded to silicon and a (18 gigs of ram and only 6 realtime cores) MacBookPro - knocks my Imac Pro (32 ram, 16 cores) out of the football field.. And I know you feel disappointed, i know you are "hurt" - by this move that apple did, but really, Nothing, and i repeat NOTHING is gonna save you from making the switch to silicon..... It is just SOOO MUCH BETTER and i havew almost NO PROBLEMS with even the first logic 11 update... All the best !

I have yet get anything usable out of these session features. The drums (percussion mainly) sometimes, but even with my limited playing ability I can get something happing way faster than this does.

Also try to relative trim midi note’s edge. Doesn’t work - it works as absolute mode. (For next Logic bug video) 😀

There is same problem on M1 too. But freezing works 👍

They have had a problem with Drummer for a long time. Nothing has changed in this matter and probably will not change.

So I tried to freeze like you did it worked I also BIP the sesh drummer it also worked.

I realised this as well I thought it was because it was playing long side alchemy tracks, hopefully it will be smooth out in the other update

Freezing Bass player helped me. Also taking all plugins off my stereo out, particularly limiters

I've experienced this too, particularly with the Bass player. Chromaglow did make things worse. I was getting latency that was making playing even a software instrument almost impossible. Removing the Bass player track made things better again. I'm using M2 Pro chip. Thanks for the freeze track tip.

Sorry I missed the stream , notice in logic when having plugins on other tracks than the one your recording on , like chroma glow , will cause latency

Did some experimenting with stems and “follow.” I split into stems a funk track. Muted them. Pasted 4 bars over and over. The bass followed the bass stems. Same with the drum stem and keyboard with the other stem. Really gave a very different groove.

My opinion: I really hate fan noise, and that's why I started with Apple Silicon (M1), but I also hate the planned obsolescence machine Apple is, as much as I hate Microsoft's way of destroying user experience with fans due to their historic links with Intel that relied on specific programming into the processors that are unnecessary but two expensive (and risky, due to unfixable security vulnerabilities in the own chips). That's how I've been balancing options. I also really like sometimes to be able to just take my old iPad Pro (back then with headphone jack, not now), and nothing else, to play very good sounds, tweak all around over the table with the pencil instead of the mouse, etc..., but I don't want several different platforms because the sound IMO is very important, and I want to keep using for example my KORG OPSIX presets or Scuffham S-Gear amps, or even REASON in my iPad, but I cannot, because they're not available on the iPad, but probably very soon we'll have touchable MacBooks and fanless Windows tablets, so in my opinion, although the iPad is becoming great, it's not a wise option. Sometimes I fall in the mind-trick of buying iPad AUv3 instruments also compatible with macOS on Apple Silicon but then I realize they're soooo much CPU hungry due to a software compatibility layer inside macOS that my battery drains way too fast, and other times I think purchasing instruments for macOS/Windows that are not available to iPad are not worth it in case I change my mind. I just need to make a decision, between going for iPad compatibility or not, and thinking about the future I know Apple will use "AI (Apple Intelligence)" to milk the cow as much as they can, enabling and disabling here and there, launching M4 iPads before touchable Macs, and so on. So may be it's a wise decision to wipe the iPad out of my mind for music and keep thinking Windows/Mac only VST's and DAW's are still worth the money, no matter where Apple fashion leads us to. Prior to this I had to make another decision, between Logic Pro and other DAWs. I ended up choosing Logic and purchased my first MacBook, but I know being restricted to just one brand makes them become tyrants, so I'd like to keep my options as much open as I can. I am still using Logic Pro, but may be I'd feel better using Reason. I tested Ableton Live 11 on Mac M1 and ran into too many crashes, also tested Cubase and there were a lot of incompatibilities, lack of support, and madness, also tested FL Studio with even many more crashes on Mac M1, I purchased Reaper until I got tired of not being able to make it "my own" (against advertisement), falling into lots of bugs and perks as I got deeper (without installing any extensions at all), so may be now it's the time to test Reason (and get rid of the iPad). Still I hate fan noise and unnecessary energy usage above everything, and that's why I'm still using Apple MacBook, and Windows tablets, convertibles, and touchable screen kind with ARM processors like the new Snapdragon X Elite are still lacking support of every DAW/VST development company, as nobody in Microsoft platforms can make developers decide on re-designing their apps COMPLETELY AND DEEPLY TIED to the bone against x86 processor instruction sets (see RISC vs CISC processors, x86 vs ARM, Intel/AMD vs Apple Silicon M1). High efficiency = less fan noise potential. CISC processor = less tied to chip manufacturers (Intel/AMD) for what turned out to be less energy efficient processor instructions compared to RISC while still blazing fast with requiring you to A/C, VAC, ice, refrigerators to cool down your machines and allowing your battery to last forever. But still, be it a CARTEL of companies, or a SINGLE company, everyone wants to milk the customers no matter how, and that's why I better keep not closing doors behind me, like tying myself to AU, Logic or iPad for just one single company that turned out to be as much of a tyrants as corrupt corporate conglomerates can become (Apple vs Microsoft/Intel) and now let's see what direction Google takes on mobile ventures with Microsoft and Android now that Google gets weak due to many failed projects and Microsoft is waiting for this weakness since almost 20 years to get their dirty hands into Google.

I realize this is one of your older videos but you just answered a question for me. I wondered if it’s a conflict of interest within groove tracks assign the drums as the “master groove” but then to have them also “follow” the bass. Wasn’t sure if they might clash?

Great tips! Really helped me. Its scarry what you can do with this without almost zero skill like me. I actually was able to use a variety of instruments using the keyboard session player.

Examples of what is wrong for me. Was 3 themes now 2. Huh? Had vst organizations attempted. Now not? What. Known by many to have archaic sequencer. Not fixed. For real? Packs and factory sounds cannot be offloaded to external drive. Skipping this party boat.

Really lame. Many poor choices being made by this company. Was. A huge fan. Been on downhill path for awhile with features being neglected

I haven't seen too many videos about this. Im glad that you've tried. When using the new Drummer you have to think more. The new Drummer has more parameters that can be adjusted to taste. Drummer was due for a change. It still seems to be missing a world beat component. Same issue with other Players. I have to admit I used the Bass Player for a project. Plugged him in and got some pretty good ideas before replaying the track myself😊
